There are two of us, and we answer our own post. There is no office and no enquiries team. Letters are usually answered within two working days. Anything about teaching — the method, a paper, what a child ought to be reading — is answered by Leah, who would teach your child. Anything about places, fees or timetables is answered by William, a director who does not teach.

If you have read the site and want to begin, the enquiry form is quicker than a letter. It is six questions and about a minute, and you choose a time to speak to Leah on the screen straight after it.

Send a note

Tell us your child’s school year, the subject, and what has prompted you to write. It saves a letter each way.

What we do with what you write is set out in the privacy notice.

Four answers, given in advance.

Fees

Teaching is sold in blocks of six, twelve or twenty-four teaching weeks, which do not count school holidays, and the fee for each subject and level is set out in full on that subject’s page. Oxbridge admissions coaching is priced separately, as single sessions and blocks of five and ten. Nothing is payable until a block is agreed, and there is no joining fee.

Places and waiting

Ten at a time. Twelve weeks, beginning on a Monday agreed with you, and applications are read as they arrive. If all five are taken we say so, and you are put in line for the next place to come free.

Children outside the United Kingdom

Tutorials are held by video call at a time agreed with you, so a child abroad is taught exactly as a child in England is. Say where you are when you write and we will tell you honestly whether the hours work.

Other subjects

We do not teach Maths or the sciences and we will not find you somebody who does. Examination work and university applications are taken on where they suit the teaching — ask, and you will be told plainly whether they do.
