Online Tutoring Services
Highly qualified & DBS-approved, private tutors, delivering one-to-one and group sessions for GCSEs, A Levels, and university admissions.
Our Expertise
Started in 2025 by a group of British graduates from the Universities of Oxford & Bath. The Russet Collective intended to be an educational service for everyone from the get-go; no matter the objectives, the age, or the expectations.
We wanted to bring together our experience and knowledge in academia, and build a collective approach and process that would allow students at any stage or level of development to make huge improvements in their marks, their execution, and their mindset.
Our Story
Our tutors have all excelled in their subjects, and know what is required to impress those holding the marking schemes; small tweaks and changes make an enormous difference, and we knew that when we created TRC it was important to give students every possible advantage to succeed.
“We wanted to build growth and success into our services from the very beginning, so that we had gameplans for each student before they even began.”
W Burgess - Founding Partner.
“Evidence indicates that one to one tuition can be effective, providing approximately five additional months’ progress on average.”
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF)
“Short, regular sessions (about 30 minutes, three to five times a week) over a set period of time (up to ten weeks) appear to result in optimum impact.”
The Education Endowment Trust (EEF)
How effective is the approach?
Data That Tells a Story
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) reports that individual tuition can accelerate progress by up to 5 months over a year. Private tutoring was linked to higher GCSE results in a Sutton Trust study, especially in maths and science.

Academic Services
Information on each level of study from ages 11-18
Our tutoring gives children an early opportunity to understand better the 11+ exam concepts in a calm, structured space to build the core skills they need in English, Maths, Verbal and Non‑Verbal Reasoning. Through weekly one‑to‑one guidance, targeted practice, and a personalised learning plan, we help them grow in confidence and feel genuinely ready for their chosen schools.
11+ Exams
GCSEs are the first time students face a full set of high‑pressure exams, all with different demands, and it’s easy for them to feel stretched across too many subjects at once. Our tutoring gives them structure and direction through exam‑board‑matched practice and clear weekly planning, helping them stay organised, focused, and steadily improving across the subjects that matter most.
GCSEs (11-16)
A‑Levels require students to handle far deeper content and far heavier workloads, and many quickly feel the jump from GCSE in both pace and complexity. Our tutoring gives them clear structure, expert subject guidance, and focused weekly planning so they can manage demanding material with confidence and work steadily toward the grades needed for university and future pathways.
